So what does all of this mean? In short, for most real estate agents, not much. The only way that this affects your advertising is if:
- You are doing a significant amount of it. Really small advertising budgets are not likely to be affected enough to worry about.
- If you are MANAGING the account yourself. Professional PPC managers are already aware of this and will be ready.
- AND you have an automated bidding strategy that optimizes for conversion.
Since the # of conversions will be calculated differently, it will affect the bids that are set up to optimize for them.
Yet they sent out the email to everyone.
The bottom line. IF you are one of those people who fits the above criteria and you are concerned, all you need to do is monitor your Adwords account closely starting on the 6th of September 2016 and going forward.
