It’s no secrect that the strongest marketing plan for recruiting agents to Keller Williams is, well, recruiting. KW pays agents, by way of profit sharing, for bringing on new agents. In theory it sounds great, and for some it is extremely profitable, but for one Keller Williams recruiter and coach it wasn’t enough. Genny Williams left Keller Williams in search of an office that “valued professionalism and talent as much as she did.”
Apparently she found what she was looking for in RE/MAX Adantage South because nearly 30 agents from her former KW office quickly followed her. [Read more…]
Dave Liniger announced he has a goal to have 7500 CDPE designee’s within the RE/Max International organization stating “it is one of the most critical things real estate agents can do to help homeowners, the economy and the country”. So just what is a CDPE and how can it help slow down foreclosures? CDPE stands for Certified Distressed Property Expert and it aims to educate brokers and agents marketing distressed properties and guiding sellers through a short sale process to keep them from foreclosure which is costly to lenders and devastating to homeowners.
The brains behind the CDPE designation is Alex Carfen, real estate investing veteran and mortgage broker. He is the co-founder of the Distressed Property Institute that developed the CDPE designation program and to date has helped over 4500 agents get the designation.
Education is ceratinly key when it comes to distressed properties and the short sale process and this looks to be a home run for RE/Max’s agents to put them ahead of the game in offering the best tools and information to their sellers to get their homes sold quickly.

With the whole world going green these days (which is a good thing I might add), RE/Max International Inc. has launched their own program designed to educate their sales force and customers on how to implement different ways of conserving energy, water, natural resources, and waste production. According to the press release, the keystone of the new RE/Max Green initiative is a comprehensive training program where agents can get involved in classes designed to help them receive the National Association of Realtors new Green designation. Agents who receive that designation can participate in RE/Max Green and use the plant logo.
Participating means that agents will not only be able to educate homebuyers and sellers, but they will also benefit by being referred to customers who specifically request agents with one of the four Green designations.
We can all make a difference by becoming earth friendly, but it starts at the top. The RE/Max headquarters in Denver was recently awarded the “Energy Star” award by the Environmental Protection Agency as being in the top 4% in the nation in efficiency.
